Article Copybook – Lined Essay Practice Sheets to Print
Make article-style lined copybooks online: horizontal rules only, first-line indent, adjustable letter spacing, optional blank every other line. Export A4 PDF and print for free.
What article mode is
Unlike Tianzige grids, article mode looks like composition paper: only horizontal lines, two-character first-line indent, and continuous paragraph flow. Use it to copy essays, diaries or textbook passages.
OCR from a photo
Upload a photo of homework or a textbook page. Text is recognized in the browser and filled into the input box—no upload to the server. Fix line breaks with Enter so each paragraph starts on a new line.
Skip-line practice
Turn on Blank every other line under Copy practice. Each model line is followed by an empty ruled line so the learner can copy right underneath.
Spacing and opacity
Letter spacing (mm) controls how tight characters sit; cell size sets line height. Article mode defaults to 100% opacity, 1mm spacing and 12mm line height—adjust in More settings.
When to use grids instead
Use Tianzige or Mizige for single-character stroke practice. Switch to article mode when the goal is fluent paragraph writing on lined paper.

FAQ
Can I paste a full essay?
Yes. There is no hard character limit; long text paginates automatically.
Do line breaks work?
Yes. Press Enter for a new paragraph with first-line indent. Soft wrap alone does not start a new line.
Will punctuation sit alone on a new line?
Closing punctuation is kept off line starts (Chinese kinsoku).
Is OCR free and private?
Yes. Recognition runs in your browser; images are not uploaded.
