Unhide rows between a gap

Unhide rows in excel when numbers jump (e.g. 5 then 12):

  1. Select the row above and below the gap (row 5 and row 12).
  2. Right-click → Unhide (or Home → Format → Hide & Unhide → Unhide Rows).

Unhide all rows on the sheet

  1. Click the triangle at the top-left (select all), or Ctrl+A.
  2. Home → Format → Hide & Unhide → Unhide Rows.
  3. Repeat Unhide Columns if column letters are missing.

Row 1 or column A is hidden

  • Hidden row 1: in the Name Box type A1 → Enter → Format → Unhide Rows.
  • Hidden column A: Name Box A1 → Unhide Columns.

Not hidden—just filtered or frozen

Symptom Fix
Filter arrows, some rows missing Data → Clear / turn off AutoFilter
Cannot scroll to top rows View → Freeze Panes → Unfreeze Panes
Truly blank rows to delete Remove blank rows
